Tyson Fresh Meats expanding plant in Tennessee

Tyson Foods is planning a $15.5 million expansion at its Tyson Fresh Meats facility in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The expansion of the facility which produces case-ready beef and pork products is expected to bring the need for 157 new jobs.
The Tyson expansion includes the addition of four production lines and expanded storage capabilities, the Nashville Post reported. The company is expected to start hiring new employees in June.
“We’re very appreciative to the state of Tennessee and our local partners for their support on this expansion, which will help us build up our capabilities locally,” Jeff Rowen, Goodlettsville complex manager for Tyson Fresh Meats, said in a news release. “We are continuing to grow our business and adding these lines will help us better meet the needs of our customers.”
