Adisseo, China Feed Industry Expo foster China-France relations

For the tenth year, animal nutrition company Adisseo attended the China Feed Industry Expo, held in Shenyang, China. With more than 40,000 visitors, the expo is China's largest trade fair for animal feed.
The company was featured prominently in the French delegation that had traveled to the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and China.
The Embassy of France in China with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FranceAgriMer, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) and the China Association of Industrial Feed organized a special event to promote the French expertise in China. The technical seminar was attended by more than 200 French and Chinese participants. Brian Sloan, director of the Adisseo Ruminants Division, introduced the principles of the formulation of dairy cow diets on the basis of amino acid balance, an innovation born in France and developed rapidly all over the world.
Adisseo also illustrated the example of Franco-Chinese relations in the field of animal nutrition. "Adisseo is a particularly successful cooperation between a Chinese group, Bluestar, and a French company specialized in a strategic business for China" said Franck Chmitelin, vice president of sales and marketing, Adisseo. "Since our entry into the Bluestar Group, we have doubled our turnover, developed our industrial platforms in Europe and Asia, and invested heavily in research," he added. Chmitelin presented the ambitions of the company in China and Asia. Despite the outbreaks of H7N9 Influenza which have severely hit China in recent months, Adisseo is confident in the continued development of the poultry industry. China remains a strategic market.
Adisseo welcomed visitors on its 72 square-meter-booth, where Rhodimet, Microvit, Rovabio and MetaSmart products were introduced. Visitors could also watch demonstrations of PNE, a service based on near-infrared spectroscopy, developed by Adisseo, which allows real-time assessment of the nutritional values of raw materials, like corn and soy, entering the composition of the feed.
