AFIA to host Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference in March


    The American Feed Industry Association will host its Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference at Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas, March 13-15.
    The annual conference offers a chance to learn about the current state of and issues impacting the animal feed industry, with market analyses, expert perspectives, networking events and more.
    The keynote speech on global food supply and ethanol production will be delivered by economist, Dr. Jay Lehr. Other speakers at the conference will include: market analyst, Richard Brock; Feedstuffs publisher and editor, Sarah Muirhead; and logger and motivational speaker, Bruce Vincent.
    In addition, the AFIA Nutrition Committee will present a pre-conference symposium, Sustainable Technologies: Short-Term and Long-Term Opportunities, on March 12.
    The pre-conference symposium will feature experts providing an overview of sustainable technologies that impact today’s farmers and ranchers, including: Dr. Juan Tricarico, Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy; Dr. Xinglen Lei, Cornell University; Dr. Jason Clay, World Wildlife Fund; and Dr. Judith Capper, Washington State University.
