Rasun, part of the Vano Group, one of Iraq’s agriculture companies and the Ross GP distributor for Iraq, has announced an agreement to extend its Grandparent production base that will make the company the first fully integrated poultry producer in the country.
The company currently has GP and PS hatcheries, two feed mills, veterinary and feed labs, a recently acquired slaughter house and a processing plant. “Once our investment plans are completed in autumn 2011, we will be able to offer increased supply to the Iraqi poultry market," said Dr. Salah M. Bakir, chairman and CEO of Rasun.
