Vegetable-fed, antibiotic-free chicken brand prompts hiring at Gold'n Plump

Gold'n Plump Poultry is planning to add 35 positions and create a second shift at its Luverne, Minn. processing plant in order to focus on its new line of vegetable-fed chicken raised without antibiotics.
The Luverne location is used as a testing ground for new products and processes before they are implemented in the company's larger plants. The created positions will mostly be on the chicken processing line, supporting the "Just Bare Chicken" brand, according to the company. “For those able to work the afternoon shift, it means a 50 cent per-hour pay differential, which means a lot to people these days," said Plant Manager Greg Aubert. "We feel positive about adding to our team at a time when the opposite is happening for a lot of other businesses."
